Jerra and I have spent many summers in the colonial town San Miguel de Allende. It is so interesting to visit with different folks who have spent some time there. Many different reactions. All the way from
"what in the world do you do there for that long?", to those who are able to slow down to
"Mexican time" and enjoy all that this quaint place has to offer.
San Miguel is like a river in that you can sit on the bank and watch the world go by. It is forever changing and yet pretty much stays the same. Of course the changing is all the people coming in and going out. Us included. It is such a visual treat with all the colors and activities. And the smells of great food waffling up and down the street. You never know when a parade will be coming along. Not sure why but all of a sudden there is a colorful parade sauntering by the Jardin. It doesn't matter as you just take it all in and enjoy the energy and excitement. It is one of the richest venues for incredible photographs that we have visited.
Around every corner there is something interesting. And the most interesting people that you run into from all over the world. People who are really stretching out there squeezing the most out of life.
The quality of this collection is second to none. When you open the pages you know you are looking at an art piece that has been constructed with the greatest of detail. This collection is printed on a fine photographic paper that gives a depth to the two dimensional presentation. The pages are thick and substantial and the mat finish gives it a muted romantic rendition of the brilliant colors that define a lot of what we see in San Miguel de Allende. I am very pleased with the end results.
Here are a few pages from the collection to give you an idea of the contents. Be sure to view on full screen for best viewing. The collection lays flat when open and on the largest size it is 36 inches wide.
